PREVIEW: My Fall TV Schedule

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

It's no secret that I love my tv. I like to relax in the evenings and enjoy some good television shows.. and I do like a wide variety! Another sign that Fall is pretty much here is the start of all the Fall tv shows. Here is what I am planning to watch come this fall.

Which shows will you be watching and are most looking forward to?

SUNDAY:

 Revenge
Premiere date - September 29
Network - ABC
This show has the most beautiful cast, the most suspenseful episodes and strange storylines, but it is awesome. It is somewhat like a late night soap opera, but in a good way, and it has a suspense chilling factor that is much better than a soap opera, plus the acting, for the most part, is much better too.

 Amazing Race
Premier date - September 29
Network -  CBS
I missed a few episodes last season and never really managed to get caught up. I definitely plan on PVRing next season's and watch it when I have time to catch up. I am sad too that I missed the first season of The Amazing Race Canada.

Once Upon a Time
Premier date - September 29
Network - ABC
Love it! I love how everything is tied together, yet how every episode features new characters and stories. It almost feels like you're watching a movie mini-series every week.

MONDAY:

 Castle
Premier date - September 23
Network - ABC
I didn't get into Castle until it was a couple of seasons into it, and I have NO idea why it took me so long. I LOVE Nathan Fillion from Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I should have jumped right on board from the get-go, but it took me a while. I am still not 100% caught up on the first couple of seasons, but I adore this show.

 Beauty and the Beast
Premier date - October 7
Network - The CW
This show can be a little cheesy sometimes, but I've watched every episode each week as soon as it airs, and it's somewhat of a guilty pleasure.

TUESDAY:

The Voice
Premier date - September 24
Network - NBC
I've always loved The Voice. I do enjoy my reality shows and The Voice is right up there in the top 2 (neck and neck with America's Got Talent).

WEDNESDAY:

The X Factor
Premiere date - September 11
Network - FOX

Survivor: Blood vs Water
Premiere date - September 18
Network - CBS

 Criminal Minds
Premier date - September 25
Network - CBS

THURSDAY:

Parenthood
Premiere date - September 26
Network - NBC

The Vampire Diaries
Premier date - October 3
Network - The CW
My #1 favourite show and guilty pleasure. It's not something that is explainable to anyone who hasn't watched the show, but it's always interesting, has good characters and hello, Ian Somerhalder?!

The Originals
Premier date - October 3
Network - The CW
The Originals is the new Vampire Diaries spinoff starting this Fall, and while I am looking forward to it, I am worried it might be a little hard to take. Several of these characters made their mark on Vampire Diaries and I'm afraid they may leave a bit of a hole on that show...

  1. Wait, they actually went forward with The Originals? I... It may be a little too late for me to go back to The Vampire Diaries, but I'll keep an eye out on how that affects TVD. I absolutely hated how far TVD veered off course when it started bringing in external conflict and new characters instead of focusing on the characters I loved - I still wish they'd killed Klaus when they were supposed to (and kept Jenna on). So the idea of them leaving TVD makes TVD potentially appealing again. Only potentially though. That show really hurt me. /dramatic

But hey, no guilt in pleasure. Love Beauty and the Beast too. And I'd like to try out Parenthood at some point. But we'll see if I'm able to catch up on anything in time for the fall premieres - I'm half a season behind on all my shows (including Castle and Once Upon a Time). Etsy ate my life.

    1. I hear you about TVD - way too many new characters brought in, and as much as I loved Klaus, he needed to go a long time ago. The episode where Jenna died brought me to tears, it was so heartbreaking!

There are very few shows that I can keep up with on a weekly basis, and thank goodness for my PVR or I would be behind on many more. And I'm with you on Etsy too, I'm taking a little break since our move, but my jewellery shop takes up a LOT of my time!

    1. Me too! I hate that I missed watching the Canadian version this year, but I didn't realize it started until it was already a few weeks into it, and that's one show that I can't gain interest in if I miss the beginning!

  6. Ahh I just love this post! I'm still in the world where I miss sex and the city, I'm finally finishing the series of gossip girl (way late I know) and I think greys anatomy is the only show that's good. I cannot wait to finally branch out and check these out! You've completely booked my fall nights ( and I sort of love you for it!).

    1. Aww I so miss Sex and the City!
I never really got into Gossip Girl for some reason, but I've only watched a few random episodes here and there, I might feel differently if I watched it right from the beginning. And with Grey's, I lost interest a while ago, before I had a PVR and it conflicted with the Vampire Diaries, haha, but I definitely want to catch up on that too!
