We bought a house!

After all the back and forth, we finally have purchased our first home! Everything is still being finalized... We have to meet with our broker this week and have a home inspection next week but yes! I couldn't be more happier if I tried. This house is perfect for us; nothing else we have looked at even comes close. I just felt the moment that I walked in that it was ours. Barry, on the other hand, took about a week to fully come around (after viewing 5 more houses it was obvious)!

It is a 2 story detached house in a nice neighbourhood. 3 bedrooms, 1 very large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The backyard is very private, completely fenced in and there is room for a pool eventually. It is completely open concept, hardwood floors and all appliances are included. I am so excited to have my own office/studio again! 

It has been quite the journey, and we ended up paying more then we wanted, but we were able to; and it was only 2k more then our 2nd offer. It's nerve wracking, but exciting at the same time. I just can't wait to have our own space, be able to hang out and have a barbecue on our back deck! Pure heaven.

We don't take possession until the end of August, which gives us enough time to give our notice to our landlord and plan everything properly.

I also received some exciting work news yesterday, but unfortunately, it is under wraps for the next week or so.. But, it has been all good news. I am so glad that after 2012 we are finally having a good year.

So far, this year we have gotten married, bought our first house, I had my work promotion and we are in a very good place right now.
